CAS Faculty Affiliate Grant Parker Receives Race & Justice Research Initiative Grant

The Center for African Studies would like to congratulate one of our faculty affiliates, Grant Parker (Department of Classics) on becoming a 2021 Race & Justice Research Initiative grantee. Awarded by The Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE) at Stanford, the multi-year initiative supports innovative research projects led by Stanford Faculty and in collaboration with a community partner. This year, CCSRE awarded a total of $250K to support nine new research projects, one of which includes Dr. Parker's work on Aftermaths of Enslavement: curating legacies, a project that focuses on the Indian Ocean and the legacies of slavery.
