Confidential Support Team (CST)

The Confidential Support Team (CST) offers free and confidential support to Stanford students impacted by sexual assault and relationship violence, including domestic abuse, intimate partner abuse, stalking, and sexual or gender-based harassment and discrimination. CST services include brief emotional support and ongoing individual counseling. The CST also provides information about your rights and reporting options, as well as support throughout the reporting process if pursued. These appointments are intended to provide confidential support for students who have experienced sexual/relationship violence as well as for those who have questions about how to help a survivor of sexual/relationship violence. The CST is staffed by a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical social worker. There is no charge for Stanford students.

Callisto

Callisto allows you, privately and confidentially, to document what happened to you if you have been a victim of sexual or relationship violence. If you're not ready to submit a report officially to the university, the system preserves the information securely. At any time, you can return to the system and use it to submit a report to the university. That will initiate the normal Title IX investigation process that is used with any report of prohibited sexual conduct that comes to the university. In addition, Callisto provides another option: You can use the "matching" option in the system to report a perpetrator to the university ONLY if someone else using the same system identifies the same person in another incident. A nonprofit organization developed Callisto in an effort to address two challenges. First, some survivors decide to report an assault after the passage of time, but the details of the experience may no longer be fresh in their memory. Second, repeat offenders in a community cannot be identified if victims do not report them – and studies show that a large majority of victims do not report. The structure of Callisto aims to provide agency to survivors of sexual assault and relationship abuse, giving them options as they think through these very difficult issues.

Sexual Harassment Policy Office

To address issues of sexual harassment, the SHPO coordinates resources and acts as the liaison between the primary parties and those helping to resolve the situation. The Office provides support and resources for all persons involved in or working to resolve a situation, but does not advocate for any particular party. Postdocs, staff, and faculty seeking assistance can contact the Sexual Harassment Policy Office.
