2014 CAS Summer Research Fellow Elsa Ordway Featured in Stanford News for Research on Deforestation and Agricultural Expansion in Cameroon

Elsa Ordway, graduate student in Environmental Earth System Science and 2014 CAS Summer Research Fellow was featured in the Stanford News for her work as lead researcher in the first study of its kind to comprehensively how international demand for commodity crops is affecting sub-Saharan Africa's tropical forests.

"Multinational companies are increasingly looking to Africa to expand production of in-demand commodity crops such as soy and oil palm.
