This lecture will explore the critical role of the Turn Nigeria Orange Network in improving infection prevention and control (IPC) practices across healthcare facilities in Nigeria. Turn Nigeria Orange Network, an initiative of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), aims to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and combat antimicrobial resistance through a nationwide collaboration of healthcare facilities. As one of the 19 inaugural facility focal persons in the network, I will provide insights into the network’s approach to building sustainable IPC structures, conducting capacity-building programmes, promoting inter-facility collaboration, and leveraging data to drive impactful change in healthcare delivery. This presentation will outline the lessons learned from the Turn Nigeria Orange Network experience, highlighting strategies for scaling up IPC interventions across healthcare systems in Africa.
