Graduating CAS M.A. student  Lotta Relander

Biography

Lotta Relander is an MA student at the Center for African Studies. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston College. Prior to coming to Stanford, she worked as a communications manager and head of field research in Kenya, both in Nairobi and the Kakuma Refugee Camp for Refunite, an international NGO helping reconnect refugees in Africa and the Middle-East with their families. She has also provided research support to a group of private investors looking at impact investments in emerging markets. At Stanford, Lotta’s academic interests have focused on conflict resolution and state-building efforts in young nations, specifically South Sudan.
